Our training and meeting in Portugal

Santarém, Portugal. 28–30 April 2026

Training of Trainers

On 28 and 29 April, the Voice of Seniors project consortium met in the city of Santarém, Portugal, to continue the training of trainers on podcasts.

Module 3: Equipment and Recording focused on preparing participants to master basic technical concepts and equip them to work with microphones, acoustics and recording software, which are essential for producing high-quality podcasts.

This training module featured a well-balanced yet intensive theoretical and practical component over the two days. Learning took place at various levels, such as: Recording Setup (Devices, Microphones & Signal Chain); Voice in the Microphone (Speaking, voice warm-up routine, Pacing, Solo Recording); The Room Around the Microphone (acoustics, noise, recording workflow, and Remote Recording Tech); Interviews (Guest Preparation, Live Conversations & Remote Setup).

The team of trainers is becoming increasingly well-prepared.

Transnational Project Meeting

30 April was set aside for a working meeting to take stock of the project’s progress and implementation. There was ample time and opportunity to review the results of the project monitoring to date, to clarify any queries and to outline the next steps.

All partners left with a clear understanding of the project’s progress, the tasks to be carried out before the next face-to-face meeting, as well as the responsibilities and deadlines set.

A well-coordinated team works better, and the VoS consortium is working towards this.
